Ascendant Joins LAAIA and the Spencer Educational Foundation to Provide Latino Student Scholarships
The Latin American Association of Insurance Agencies (LAAIA) announces its continued partnership with the Spencer Educational Foundation in providing scholarships to top-ranking Latino students aspiring to build careers within Risk Management & Insurance.
Through the collaboration between the LAAIA and the Spencer Educational Foundation, two scholarships will be awarded annually to deserving Latino students who have demonstrated exceptional academic achievements and a strong commitment to pursuing a career in the field. These scholarships aim to empower and support talented individuals to ensure they can access higher education and professional development opportunities.

This year’s 2023 LAAIA Spencer Scholarship awardees are Carlos Fuentes, a Colorado-based rising senior at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln, and Gabriel Garcia, an Iowa-based rising senior at Dordt University. The scholarship is accompanied by a stipend that allowed both students to attend the LAAIA 2023 Annual Convention in Hollywood, FL.
This event offers an unparalleled opportunity for networking and building connections with industry partners, featuring hundreds of trade show exhibitors and informative educational sessions.
